About Duphatrim Is Injection (100 ml)
Duphatrim IS (Injectable Solution) is a clear yellow aqueous solution of trimethoprim and sulfadiazine for parenteral administration.

Directions for Use
Intramuscular route: Non-lactating cattle, lactating cattle and pigs.
Subcutaneous route: Non-lactating cattle only.
The recommended dosage rate is 1ml per 15kg bodyweight which is the equivalent of 20mg procaine penicillin per kg bodyweight.
If signs persist at 72 hours repeat the dose.
Active Ingredient
Duphatrim Is Injection (100 ml) ingredients
Butylhydroxyanisole 0.07mg and butyhydroxytoluene 0.07mg as antioxidants in a long acting oily base.
Procaine benzylpenicillin 300mg
Side Effects
Side effects of Duphatrim Is Injection (100 ml)
Penicillins and cephalosporins may cause hypersensitivity (allergy) following injection, inhalation, ingestion or skin contact.
Hypersensitivity to penicillins may lead to cross reactions to cephalosporins and vice versa. Allergic reactions to these substances
may occasionally be serious.
Do not handle this product if you know you are sensitised, or if you have been advised not to work with such preparations.
Handle this product with great care to avoid exposure, taking all recommended precautions.
If you develop symptoms following exposure such as a skin rash, you should seek medical advice and show the doctor this
warning. Swelling of the face, lips or eyes or difficulty with breathing, are more serious symptoms and require urgent medical
attention.
Wash hands after use.
