Why are these included, and how do they work?
Piper methysticum
Psychotropic compound with anxiolytic, sedative, muscle relaxan tand anticonvulsant effects; proven action on the hippocampus and the amygdala; clinical trials show it is both safe and effective to help with anxiety, good evidence it is anxiolytic.
L-theanine

Q & A
- Q. Can Calmex (dog) be used for cats as we do not have Calmex cat in stock? do the active ingredients differ between products?
- A.
Calmex Cat is due to be release next week; we should be getting stock in as soon as it's launched!
Although Calmex for Dogs has the same ingredients, the formulation is a little different; and I'd be concerned about using it in cats because of the risk of overdose.

myVetMeds - Q. What time of day do I give calmex to my dog
- A.
There's no specific time; you should give the Calmex 30-60 minutes before you need the calming effect (i.e. whenever the stressful event is expected), whenever that might be.
Hope that helps!
