- Q. hi my name is julia
and i was wondering how this works i bought it in bahrain. i am trying to teach my dog how to walk with out a leash and i thought this was the whistle that makes no noise but the dogs hears it and comes to it is it for that!! what do i do to work it and it says it is for obidience but couldn't i just have bought a normal whistle for that not a dog one?? - A.
Hi Julia,
Yes, the idea is that you can whistle to your dog, who hears it... but no-one who is around can hear you whistling! This particular whistle has several settings, so you can adjust it to the pitch that your dog responds to best. To change the pitch, you should twist the screw on the top. A normal whistle would of course work - but then everyone can hear you whistling and you might get complaints about the noise!
