Q & A
- Q. 1 If this is not suitable for im use in the horse - how can you sell this product to horse owners who presumably are not trained to administer iv injections?
2 Shouldnt owners seek veterinary advice rather than giving drugs designed for pain relief and as adiagnostic aid? - A.
We would always hope that owners do not attempt to self-diagnose their animals. This medicine is prescription-only, and we will not supply it until we have received a prescription from the owner's vet - it is their responsibility to prescribe only those medications which the patient requires, and that they consider the owner competant to administer.
Remember also that this product is licensed for use in dogs and cattle as well as horses, and may be used i/m in those species.

MyVetMeds - Q. Can this injecvtion be used on horses by IM? And for a bodyweight of 450kg, dosage amount should be 20ml, can all the 20ml be injected at one injection site via IM?
- A.
No, its not suitable or licensed for use by the intramuscular route in horses at any dose due to the risk of severe local reactions.
